Smoking Cessation
The Winnebago County Health Departments provides a variety of programs and opportunities
to help people quit smoking. Less than 1 in 5 Americans continue to smoke cigarettes,
recognizing the fact that despite the numbers of smokers decreasing dramatically,
tobacco use continues to be the country's number one cause of preventable death.
On average, smokers die 14 years earlier than non-smokers.
