Print The Health Promotion Dept offers various services
to our communities in the Winnebago County
Programs and Services
Audio-Visual Screenings - Vision and hearing screening for pre-school to school age students in private/parochial schools.
International Travel - Education, recommendations and immunizations for persons traveling to foreign countries.
Oral Health - Oral health education, referrals and preventive dental services offered in Winnebago, Boone and Stephenson County schools.
Health Promotion - Health promotion screening activities for industry and general population. Flu and pneumonia immunizations, adult immunizations, blood tests and prostate screening for men.
Black Male Health - Initiates activities addressing issues of health disparities for minorities and educational health topics relating to black males.
We Choose Health grant- Grant monies awarded by the Illinois Department of Public Health to support public health efforts to reduce chronic diseases, promote healthier lifestyles, reduce health disparities, and control health care spending
