Hundreds of registration forms have been distributed to local organizations, inviting students to the event. All students participating in the rally must have a form returned for pre-registration; there will be no on-site registration.

This event assists children who are financially challenged; by giving them much needed school supplies to help start the school year with a positive outlook for learning. Many local organizations and businesses have come together each year to donate materials for the event.
