Dana’s responsibilities will include Program Implementation and Fund Development. She will also work closely with Community Leaders, Law Enforcement and Neighborhood Groups. Dana began with the Kishwaukee Corridor Weed and Seed Program on Monday, November 29, 2010. 

“I am certain that Dana will be a great manager for the Kishwaukee Corridor Weed and Seed Program and a great addition to the Winnebago County Health Department,” said Larry Swacina, Director of Environmental Health Services, with the Winnebago County Health Department.
 
Dana earned her Master’s Degree in Public Health at the University Of Illinois College Of Medicine. She has since worked at Rosecrance Health Network, Janet Wattles and Stepping Stones in various capacities including as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) clinician, mental health professional, and as a community relations representative, among other responsibilities, to assist clients in improving their lives. Dana also has experience in fundraising, grant writing and community outreach.  
 
Dana Hoefle is a lifelong resident of the Rockford area; she was born in Freeport, attended Durand High School, and now lives in Rockford.
