A pre-recorded H1N1 Influenza message will be on the Winnebago County Health Department’s Informational Line at: 815-720-4242. The recording will have information on signs and symptoms of the novel H1N1 virus, and preventive measures for keeping one healthy during this extended flu season.

“Winnebago County Health Department anticipates there will be more cases in the coming days and weeks because the population has little or no immunity against novel H1N1 flu. As the situation may change with this new H1N1 virus, WCHD will re-open the Phone Bank on an as-needed basis in the future,” stated Winnebago County Health Department Public Health Administrator, Mike Bacon.
