Community Walk-In Flu Clinics

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends an annual flu shot for everyone ages 6 months old and older as the first and best way to protect against influenza.

To help prevent the spread of the flu in our community, the Winnebago County Health Department is offering community walk-in flu clinics:

October 2, 2017: 12 pm-3 pm: Cherry Valley Library, 755 E. State St., Cherry Valley.

October 4, 2017: 11-3 pm: Workforce Connection and State of Illinois Employment Security Office, 303 N. Main Street, Rockford, Illinois.

October 6, 2017: 1-5 pm: Winnebago County Health Department, 555 N. Court Street, 4th Floor

October 11, 2017: 10 am-3 pm: Heartland Community Church, 1280 S. Alpine Rd, Rockford

October 12, 2017: 3 pm-7 pm: Heartland Community Church, 1280 S. Alpine Rd, Rockford

October 13, 2017: 9-1 pm: First National Bank and Trust Winnebago, 500 N. Elida St, Winnebago

Cost:      Quadrivalent Vaccine for 14-64 year olds is $39.

High Dose Vaccine for 65 years and older is $62.

If you have a health insurance plan, please check with your provider to ensure flu vaccination is covered.

WCHD accepts: Illinois Medicare, Illinois Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and Medicare Replacement Health Insurance, United Health Care Medicare Replacement Health Insurance, Coventry Medicare Replacement Health Insurance, Humana PPO and Medicare Replacement Health Insurance, Illinicare, and Meridian. Please bring your insurance card with you.

Medicare Participants: Please bring your Medicare Replacement card with you if you have one of the plans listed above. Medicare will not pay for the flu vaccination if you are a member of one of the above Medicare Replacement Plans.

We also accept cash, check and major credit cards.
